Barnet Synagogue has planted 600 trees!

Trees are nature’s own miraculous carbon captors so we need to plant more of them. As the eco lead for Barnet Shul, I was looking for our next project and came across the Tiny Forest initiative. The goal was to plant 600 trees on a site near Henlys Corner, adjacent to the very polluted North Circular Road. On a cold, wet, sleety afternoon, an intrepid group of us from Barnet, together with communities of other faiths, dug in the mud and achieved our goal. 600 trees were planted and it was a truly exhilarating experience!
